What Makes him Haute : The Chicago native came to Miami in 2003 when he was selected fifth overall in the NBA draft. He went on to lead the team to its first NBA World Championship in 2006 and got crowned MVP, then led Team USA to a gold medal in the Olympics. After being joined by teammates LeBron James and Chris Bosh, Wade helped lead the team to win the NBA Finals Championship in 2012 and to a fabulous regular season in 2013 that almost broke a record for consecutive wins. Equally impressive off the court, he has earned respect for his strong community involvement helping at-risk youths through his Wade’s World Foundation.
