Schrager took things to the next level when he created the Food Network’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival, which brings the most celebrated names from the world’s finest culinary institutions and revered wineries to the sands of Miami Beach for one weekend each February to benefit FIU’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Schrager launched a similar festival in New York which benefits food banks in the city.
